- Preparation and International Cooperation: Azerbaijan's preparation levels have received positive assessments from the UN. Discussions have been held with the Secretariat of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, indicating strong international cooperation.
- "Troika" Mechanism Creation: The establishment of the "Troika" mechanism among the United Arab Emirates, Azerbaijan, and Brazil marks a significant step towards collaborative efforts in addressing climate change challenges.
- Ministerial Visits and Diplomacy: Mukhtar Babayev, the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources and President-Designate of COP29, has conducted visits and meetings in Türkiye, Germany, the UAE, and Kenya, with more planned, including a visit to China, to discuss COP29-related issues.
